Center Lecture: "I.P. for Law and Market Society"
Professor Shubha Ghosh was the guest of the Center and the Program -- Law and Market Economy. He spoke at the College of Law on Tuesday Oct. 9, 2001 to a group of more than 45 students. Professor Ghosh is an expert on Intellectual Property (IP) Law and discussed the market context of current issues in IP. He explained the importance of economic theory to legal reasoning in the IP area and addressed such current controversies as internet music providers (Napster) and concerns over protection of 'traditional medicine'.
Professor Ghosh is a member of the Law School faculty at SUNY Buffalo. He earned his J.D. from Stanford University and his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
