Organizations Organizations can also be a very helpful source of information. Some organizations, such as the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the American Bar Association Center on Children and the Law were formed by attorneys and provide practice advice as well as information for the general public. Other organizations, such as the Children’s Defense Fund, and the National Center for Youth Law were formed as nonprofit advocacy organizations. Still others are primarily academic, such as the International Society of Family Law.
