
Professor Peggy Maisel
Professor Maisel was first a Fulbright Professor and then an Associate Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal School of Law in Durban South Africa from 1996-2002. During these six years she worked with the university law clinics and then introduced her knowledge of clinical legal education into the development of course materials and teaching of skills in the core law school curriculum. She co-authored two textbooks: Introduction to Law and Legal Skills, and Foundations of South African Law: Critical Issues for Law Students. In the U.S., she has had a wide range of experience as a professor, public interest lawyer, and director of a civil rights organization. She is currently the founding Director of Clinical Programs and an Associate Professor at Florida International University College of Law in Miami, Florida, where she teaches a Community Development Clinic.
