How to Apply for Summer Financial Aid

If you plan to enroll in courses for summer 2013, you may be eligible for Federal Direct Student loans to cover the cost of tuition and fees, as well as personal living expenses for the weeks of your summer enrollment.  There are no grants or scholarships available from the College of Law Financial Aid Office for the summer.

To begin the loan application process, please complete the 2013 Summer Financial Aid Application. Once your Summer Financial Aid Application is received, your loan eligibility will be calculated and you will be given instructions on how to apply for credit-based Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loans.

Maximum loan eligibility is determined based on the number of credits for which you enroll and the loan period for which you enroll.  Students who do not register for credits in the summer are not eligible for summer 2013 loans.  Students must be registered at least "half-time" (defined as 4 credits minimum in the summer) in classes that will help fulfill the requirements of earning their degree at Syracuse University College of Law.

If you have questions about the application process or your loan eligibility, please contact the College of Law Financial Aid Office at 315-443-1963, send an email, or stop into our office (Suite 340 White Hall).
