James Kidder
Class of 2001
President, Syracuse University Law Alumni Association

I am delighted to welcome you to the Syracuse University Law Alumni Association (SULAA) page of the Syracuse University College of Law web site. SULAA was formed to “provide a link between the past, present, and future of Syracuse University College of Law.” In that spirit, there is perhaps no better, more immediate way to reach our more than 9,000 graduates to let them know what is happening up on the Hill.

The Law School is experiencing a time of enormous transformation and change; we want to keep you updated on SULAA activities and news at the college. This web site will help you remain informed, get connected, and stay connected. Keep coming back to these pages and you will find many opportunities throughout the year to become active in the law school. Our activities are open to all alumni. If you are not receiving our alumni-related communications, I would encourage you to provide us with your current contact information. You can update your contact details by e-mailing SU-law@law.syr.edu or by calling the Law School’s Advancement Office at 315-443-9533.

SULAA recognizes that our alumni represent a diverse and vibrant community. We encourage you to join our social media networks including The Official Syracuse University College of Law Facebook page at http://facebook.com/syracuselaw and the Syracuse Law LinkedIn group at http://linkd.in/syracuselaw to connect with fellow alumni across the country—and the world! One of our initiatives has been to build local alumni chapters in many cities and states. The chapters hold meetings and events that allow graduates to re-connect and share in their commitment to the law school. On this site, you’ll find information about such regional opportunities under the calendar of events.

Since the law school’s founding in 1895, it has been a pioneer in providing innovative approaches to law study.  Our school has always been composed of an unusually talented group of scholars, students, and alumni who share a singular goal: to prepare students for diverse opportunities and an amazingly bright future. That spirit, reflected in each of our alumni, is our most precious asset.

I am delighted to serve as your President and I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you personally to SULAA events in Syracuse and elsewhere.
