Professor LaVonda N. Reed-Huff has spoken extensively and has published numerous scholarly works and law review articles in the areas of broadcast and media ownership, political advertisements, regulation of satellite dishes and clean energy devices, indecency, and hiring in the high-tech industry. She teaches courses in communications law, property, and wills & trusts.
Professor Reed-Huff earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Southern California. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Donald W. VanArtsdalen of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the faculty at Syracuse University, Professor Reed-Huff was an attorney in private practice with the international law firm of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP and taught at the University of Louisville.
Professor Reed-Huff is co-chair of the New York Chapter of the Federal Communications Bar Association, is a member of the American Bar Association, and serves on a number of national and local committees and advisory boards. She is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia.
