Professor Lape graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She practiced as an associate in the probate department at a leading Boston law firm before beginning a teaching career. She taught at Temple University and at UNC at Chapel Hill before coming to Syracuse. She writes on copyright law. Professor Lape teaches copyright, property, and intellectual property. Her research interests lie in the area of copyright law.
