To apply for a Courtesy Card, please contact the Circulation Staff.
- Loan Period
The normal loan period for circulating materials for all students is 28 days. Materials may be renewed unless recalled. Faculty are granted extended loan privileges, and may make arrangements to borrow non-circulating items. For details on faculty loans, please consult the Faculty Services Section of the Website.
- Overdue Fines
The overdue fine on circulating materials is 50 cents a day per item, starting with the first day overdue. There is a four day grace period on circulating materials; on the fifth day, the overdue fine starts at $2.50. The maximum overdue fine is $15.00 per item. Students should be aware that failure to pay overdue fines may result in a hold being placed on subsequent registration, release of transcripts, or graduation verification.
- Recalls
Any circulating item may be recalled for use by another patron. The revised due date for recalled items is indicated on the recall notice. The overdue fine for recalls is $2.00 per day per item, up to $30.00. Any patron who does not respond to a recall notice will have his or her borrowing privileges suspended by the automated Circulation system until the recalled item has been returned to the library.
