Computing / Printing Services
There are three areas in the Law Library with desktop computers designated for student research and computing needs: the Electronic Research Center (ERC), the Barclay Computer Center (both located on Floor 3), and the Ruger Computer Center (located on Floor 2.)
The computers in the ERC do not require a login, but those located in the other computer centers are limited to law student use and do require a login. The Law Library computers are used by a large number of patrons. Because of this, please do not save any personal information or documents on them. Anything saved to these computers is accessible by anybody who sits at the computer. Do you want everyone to see your outline, resume or letter to the DMV?
Printers are located in the ERC and the Ruger Computing Center for student printing. Westlaw and Lexis printers are provided and maintained by those vendors, and are located in the Ruger Computer Center (Rm 238 on Floor 2 of the library). Please send all Lexis and Westlaw print jobs to the designated vendor printers.
Photocopying
There are a number of photocopiers located throughout the Law Library. These copiers are managed and maintained by the College of Law Office of Support Services, but the library staff is happy to help if you are having any trouble. Copy cards are available for sale in the Office of Support Services (Room 120) during that office's regular business hours. Copy cards used at the College of Law are different than those used at Bird Library.
Photocopiers are located in the following areas of the Law Library:
Floor 2 (southwest corner)
Floor 3 (Reserve Room)
Floor 5 (near the center of the south wall)
Stack 1 (southeast corner)
Stack 3 (southeast corner)
Scanning/CD Burning
The Law Library maintains a scanning and CD burning station for the use of law students. You must sign up to use the equipment. Please speak with a Reference Librarian about when the equipment is available.
