CALI and other Lessons

CALI (Center for Computer-Assisted Legal Instruction)
Syracuse University College of Law students and faculty have access to the entire CALI collection of interactive exercises. Covering many legal subject areas, hundreds of lessons have been designed to augment traditional law school instruction. The lessons are useful as study aids, practice exams and classroom exercises.

Students and faculty must be registered users in order to access the lessons on the CALI website.  To register, College of Law users need the authorization codes for our law school.  To obtain the authorization code, contact Robert Weiner, rjweiner@law.syr.edu, Electronic Services Librarian, or Christine Demetros, cmdemetr@law.syr.edu, Reference/ Student Services Librarian.

CALI lessons can run right from the CALI website, be downloaded to your personal computer, or be used via the CALI CD-ROM.  Some lessons are not available in a web accessible format and must be downloaded or used via the CD-ROM.  Review the instructions on each individual lesson page to determine how the lesson will run.

First year law students are given a free CALI CD by the Law Library during orientation week .  Extras are generally available; inquire at the Reference or Circulation Desks .
