Help is Available at the Barclay Law Library!

Reference Department

There are 5 Reference Librarians at the Barclay Law Library who are happy to answer any research questions that you may have.  The Reference Desk is located on the third floor of the Law Library, near the entrance, and is generally staffed during the semester from 8am - 9pm Monday through Thursday, and 8am - 5pm on Friday, and 1pm - 9pm on Sunday.  Come in and let us show you what resources are available to help you through law school!

The expertise of the Reference Librarians is available to you even when you are away from the Law School.  Feel free to call us at (315) 443-9572 during the regular reference hours listed above, or submit an Online Reference Query.  Generally, we will respond within 24 hours to an online query received Saturday through Thursday.

Reference Consultations

In addition to regular reference service, you may also schedule more detailed instruction from a Reference Librarian.  If your question involves complex research issues, please contact the reference staff to set up an appointment.

Research Guides

The Reference Department has created a number of print research guides to assist you with your legal research at the Barclay Law Library. They are all available at the Law Library, or as Online Research Guides containing hotlinks to free Internet websites, as well as licensed Law Library databases.
