The following by-laws become effective February 15, 1999.
SECTION 1 - ADMINISTRATION OF THE BY-LAWS
(A) The by-laws of the International Law Society (â€œILSâ€), in accordance with the ILS Constitution, will govern the operation of the organization.
(B) Any member of the ILS may propose an amendment to the by-laws at an official meeting of the organization.
(C) The by-laws may be amended by a simple majority of the full dues paying membership in attendance of an official meeting of the organization held at least 30 and no more than 60 days after the introduction of the amendment.
SECTION 2 - MEMBERSHIP
(A) Only dues paying members are entitled to attend conferences and activities related to international law under the auspices of the ILS or the International Law Student Association (â€œILSAâ€) which are subsidized with funds from the ILS, ILSA, College of Law Student Senate (â€œSenateâ€), or any office of the College of Law in accordance with the procedures established by the Executive Board for each event.
(B) Associate members are entitled to attend conferences and activities as described in (A) but may not receive any subsidy funding from the ILS, ILSA, Senate, or any office of the College of Law. Associate members attending these events would have to pay full costs and/or reimburse the ILS or College of Law for expenditures in accordance with procedures established by the Executive Board for each event.
(C) Only dues paying members of the ILS may attend the Annual ILSA Spring Conference.
(D) Only Executive Board members may attend the Annual ILSA Fall Conference.
