Syracuse University College of Law boasts one of the most prestigious moot court programs in the country. The Moot Court Honor Society is composed of 72 second and third-year students selected for demonstrating excellence in trial and appellate advocacy. Throughout the school year, the organization’s members participate in a variety of intramural and intercollegiate competitions that are designed to sharpen critical advocacy skills essential in the legal profession. The Executive Board organizes both the Lionel O. Grossman Trial Competition for second and third-year students in the fall and the Mackenzie Hughes LLP Edmund H. Lewis Appellate Competition in the spring for second and third-year students. Additionally, the organization sponsors several intercollegiate teams in both national and international competitions. These teams have received various awards throughout the years.
