The Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) works to promote and articulate standards of academic and professional excellence in the field of law and to promote a deeper understanding of the cultural, political, economical, and historical role and status of Asian Pacific peoples.
APALSA’s goals are (1) to encourage communications between law students and to associate law students who share similar goals; (2) to serve as a liaison between Asian Pacific American attorneys and law students; (3) to influence the legal community to bring about meaningful change to meet the needs of the Asian Pacific American community; and (4) to encourage Asian Pacific Americans to consider law as a career.
APALSA sponsors guest speakers at the College of Law, as well as social functions. The APALSA sponsored Thomas Tang Moot Court Team has also won first place in the Northeast Region for the past two years.
Membership Open to all law students.
