Corporate Law Society members pay dues in the amount of $10 per semester. The funds we collect allow our Society to hold events that benefit our membership as well as the law school generally. In the past, we were proud to welcome Mr. Ron Berger, Esq., corporate counsel with the law firm of
Bond, Schoeneck & King, to speak on the practice of corporate law in a large law firm setting. Additionally, we were fortunate enough to present Mr. Martin Gorman, Esq., general counsel to the Kraft Corporation, to address the membership on the practice of corporate law as in-house counsel. Our events are catered and promoted, which requires funding that comes, in part, from our membership dues.
Another primary purpose for collecting dues is to advance the longevity of the
Corporate Law Society Scholarship Fund. Please see the page dedicated to the Scholarship Fund for details.
Dues may be paid via cash or check to our Treasurer, Cristin A. Cavanaugh. Please make checks payable to “Syracuse University College of Law” with “Corporate Law Society” written in the memo line. Place cash/check in an envelope with your name on it, deposit it into our Treasurer’s mailbox, and she will issue a receipt and redeposit it into your mailbox. Thank you, in advance.
