One person in the Class of 2010 will be awarded $500 for his or her exhibited interest in the area of corporate or commercial law.
ProcedureThe Scholarship is administered by the Corporate Law Society Scholarship Fund Committee. An internally-elected Chair presides over the Committee and has the determinative vote in all matters of substance. The Corporate Law Society President has the determinative vote only as to matters of procedure.

Who. The Corporate Law Society Scholarship Fund is open to every first-year student attending the College of Law. In the effort of making the Scholarship equally available to all, no preference will be shown toward any class, whatsoever (e.g., race, gender, financial status, geographical background, etc.); therefore, please omit all references to any such class in your application.
What. The scholarship will go to the person who best exhibits an interest in commercial or business law and a commitment to the Corporate Law Society. Toward that end, we ask for the four things listed above. First, include a cover letter that describes your interest in corporate law, why you are deserving of the scholarship, and what your future career plan is. Second, your resume should highlight your life experiences thus far. Third, we ask that you provide a list of your undergraduate/graduate coursework, which could be a written list of the relevant courses or other academic work you undertook. Transcripts are not necessary. Finally, you may provide a fourth ingredient of your choice. This may be anything that you feel better qualifies you for the Scholarship. As indicated above, we ask that any mention of race, gender, financial status, geographical background, etc., be excluded from your application as no preference will be shown toward any class.
How. Please omit all identifying content from your submission. Place your entry into a manila envelope and write only your SU ID on the outside of the envelope and drop it into the CLS drop box in financial aid. The winner will receive notice within two weeks from the deadline.
GOOD LUCK!!!
