South Asian Law Student Association (SALSA)
The South Asian Law Student Association (SALSA) has been organized to provide a supportive community for incoming South Asian students, as well as to encourage a South Asian involvement and success in the legal arena.  SALSA will also help to promote an awareness of South Asian culture and issues, and actively participate in efforts to improve the community.

SALSA plans to celebrate cultural holidays, recognize religious holidays, offer a mentor-mentee program between incoming and returning law students, as well as between current law students and South Asian lawyers.  SALSA members may actively participate in the national SALSA organization by attending conferences.  SALSA plans to coordinate activities with other minority groups at the College of Law and to coordinate activities with other South Asian organizations in the Syracuse area, such as the Syracuse Indian Association (SIA) and the South Asian Medical Students Association (SAMSA).
