The Women’s Law Student Association (NWLSA) provides a forum for the discussion and advancement of women in legal education. It creates a graduate network to enable women in the legal profession and in law school to learn from and support one another, and addresses societal impacts of women on the law. It is the largest organization at the College of Law with almost 200 members.
The WLS has sponsored the following activities: welcome meeting for new students, seminar on employment and wage discrimination, a Moot Court Team for annual competition, a golf outing, an end of the year banquet, and care package program during final exams. The NWLSA also maintained a library of class outlines.
Membership To become a member of the National Women’s Law Student Association, students should attend
a WLC event. Annual dues are $10.
